Each spring, LaValley Building Supply brings together vendors, builders, designers, and industry partners through its annual Builder Expo series, a set of regional events designed to connect professionals and showcase products used throughout the construction and remodeling industry.
The 2026 expos were held over three consecutive days in early March, beginning with the Seacoast Builder Expo in Rochester, New Hampshire on March 3, followed by the Western New Hampshire Builder Expo in West Lebanon on March 4, and concluding with the Vermont Builder Expo in Rutland on March 5. Each event ran from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and brought together professionals from across the region for an afternoon of conversation, product exploration, and industry connection.
The structure of the event is simple, but effective. Vendors set up displays featuring materials, tools, and services, while builders, designers, and contractors move through the space, engaging directly with the people behind those products. It creates an environment where questions can be asked in real time, details can be discussed more thoroughly, and relationships can be reinforced face to face.
LaValley’s approach extends beyond logistics. Throughout the events, company leadership made a visible effort to engage with vendors, reinforcing the collaborative nature of the expo. Owners Brian and Larry, along with Ryan, spent time moving between booths, speaking with participants and acknowledging the role vendors play in supporting the broader LaValley network. That presence contributes to a consistent tone across each location, one that feels organized but still personal.
Each expo runs for four hours and includes food, drinks, door prizes, and event-specific pricing from participating vendors. More than 50 vendors are typically represented, spanning categories such as windows and doors, tools, building materials, and installation systems. The scale of participation reflects both the reach of LaValley’s network and the level of engagement across the regional building industry.
Rochester and West Lebanon: Strong Turnout Across Locations
The Seacoast Builder Expo in Rochester, held at the American Legion, set the tone for the week. Vendors and LaValley staff from multiple locations were present, creating opportunities for direct conversations between suppliers and the teams who work with those products every day.
The following evening in West Lebanon, the event continued at the Fireside Inn & Suites with even higher attendance. The space remained active throughout the four-hour program, with steady movement between vendor displays and ongoing conversations across the floor.
Across both locations, the consistency of the format and turnout underscored the strength of LaValley’s regional presence. Each stop maintained the same structure while reflecting the local network it serves, allowing the expo to scale without losing its sense of familiarity.
A Consistent Presence Within the Vendor Community
For vendors who return year after year, the LaValley Builder Expo has become a reliable point of connection. Familiar faces reappear, conversations pick up where they left off, and new products are introduced within an established network.Â
Tanya Clark-Smith of Rumford Stone, who attended both the Rochester and West Lebanon events, is one of many repeat participants. Having attended for the past three years, she noted the value of seeing the same vendors and LaValley teams over time, allowing relationships to build gradually rather than through one-off interactions.
The setting also creates space for more focused conversations with designers and staff, something that can be difficult to achieve during the pace of a typical showroom visit.
A Regional Industry Touchpoint
With events spanning New Hampshire and Vermont, the LaValley Builder Expo continues to function as a regional touchpoint for the building and design community. It brings together the manufacturers, suppliers, and professionals responsible for shaping projects across northern New England and gives them a shared space to exchange information and stay aligned.
Rather than operating as a traditional trade show, the expo reflects an ongoing working relationship between LaValley and the professionals it supports. The consistency of the event, both in structure and participation, speaks to its role as a steady part of the industry calendar.
As the series continues year to year, it reinforces something that is easy to overlook in day-to-day work. Behind every project is a network of people who rely on clear communication, shared knowledge, and trust. Events like the LaValley Builder Expo give that network time to reconnect and move forward together.

While it was overall great and efficient to work with Rumford Stone, I want to share a warning to be very careful if you aren't going to see slabs in-person. They sent 2 photos for approval of the granite slab we were interested in, but the stone was dark and wet and I couldn’t see the huge natural variations. The variations weren't captured in the close-up photo shared with me of the grain and veins. I was expecting lines and swirls based on the close-up photo, so I was shocked upon delivery to see a big noticeable blotch in the most visible area of the stone. It looks dirty and it is not. Rumford Stone did not offer any discount despite my disappointment. If you want to make sure you don't have any surprises, go see what you want in-person or be sure to ask for photos to be taken while the slabs are clean and dry. They are high-quality and competitively priced. I was told they are going to build a greenhouse to protect the slabs outdoors. I would go with them again!

Excellent installation experience, very quick from time of choosing the stone to installation, beautiful job on quartz countertop and cost less than the bid from Lowes and much faster to install.

I am sure that we were a small job in the Rumford Stone's business, and so we were very pleased with their care and expertise at all stages in the process of choosing, templating and installing our new soapstone counter. The quality of their work was exceptional and we are thrilled with the beautiful result!

Rumford stone is amazing. I had a bathroom sink that had cracked and we to have it refinished and the job came out terrible. I called Rumford to install a brand new Undermount sink and unbelievably it was more cost-effective than having the old sink Refinished. When I reached out to the office, they were wonderful and setting everything up was a breeze. The two technicians who came out were extremely knowledgeable. They explained everything and they took care of it quickly and cleanly. I could not have asked for a better start to finish project.
